Meeting #4, December 4, 2008

Our December meeting had some entertaining speeches from Leslie Lin, Paul Lee and Valerius Lee.

Jewel Hsu did a great job as Toastmaster!

Meeting #3 November 6, 2008

Irrationally Motivated's 3rd meeting took place on Thursday, November 6. Due to a last minute overbooking, we were forced to move our meeting to Mr Brown Coffee nearby. 

We still had a wonderful meeting regardless, with a wonderful Advanced Impromptu session by Ming Lee and Jonathan Chen's guest Humorous speech amongst the highlights.

We also had prepared speeches from Valerius Li and Paul Lee!

Our next meeting will take place on December 4. Please drop by! 

Meeting #2 - Installation Ceremony - October 2, 2008

Irrationally Motivated's second meeting was conducted last Thursday.

Leslie Lin delivered his A5 speech, entitled "Keep Walking" - a moving account of the perseverance of his father in law's childhood.

Paul Lee informed us about "The History of Accounting" with his A21 speech.

In addition, our president, Emily Murray delivered her Humorous Speech Contest speech for our enjoyment!

Sophia Lai did a marvellous job as Toastmaster of the Evening. We had a large turnout for our Charter and Induction ceremonies, confirming Irrationally Motivated Toastmasters Club is sure to grow ever stronger in the future!

Meeting #1, September 4, 2008

After months of demo meetings, we finally had our first official club meeting on Thursday.

Jude Wei gave a descriptive reading of the Love Story of Niu Lang and Zhi Nu for his A1 speech.

Cameron Chow gave an attempt at his A2 humorous speech, seeing Life as a Videogame.

And Sophia Lai presented her A6 speech telling us about The Edible Cosmetic - Squalene.

Another highlight included the tremendous Advanced Impromptu session presented by Jewel Hsu, involving some fabulous role plays, and Bonita Hsu's Table Topics session, focussed on positive ways of looking at negative situations. Amanda Uy did a wonderful job as Toastmaster of the Evening.

Irrationally Motivated is growing strongly as a club!

Next month's meeting on October 2 will include our charter and induction ceremonies. All are very welcome to join!

We are pleased to report that Toastmasters International have confirmed the charter of Irrationally Motivated Advanced Toastmasters Club.

We are looking forward to many successful meetings in the future!
